Virtual Conference Presentation to The Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Nagoya

March 8, 2021 – Mitsui E&S Machinery Co., Ltd., part of the PACECO Group, presented in a virtual conference to the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Nagoya the advancement of the Near Zero Emission (NZE) RTG Transtainer as a critical tool in the Ports environmental efforts to reduce emission of container handling equipment.  The NZE Transtainer is an upgrade of the Hybrid Transtainer and designed to be powered by lithium-ion batteries and a small diesel engine genset and in the future easily change to a zero-emission power source, i.e., a fuel cell genset.  Initiation of fuel cell development was announced, targeting completion by April 2023.  The virtual conference celebrated the one-year anniversary of the MOU between the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Nagoya to cooperate and regularly share environmentally related information, and PACECO is fully supporting those efforts.
